My Involvement

I was involved from pre start up phase in advising the founders on how to structure their ownership interests. After that we moved on to fundraising where my advice on financial projections and grant applications helped to secure funding for vital capital expenditure in the brewery. Subsequently I have advised on employee share ownership incentives for key staff members and on maximizing tax reliefs on capital and R&D expenditure.

My Involvement

This was an established business with great products but it was underperforming. I have established a regular financial reporting regime including the preparation of detailed budgets against which we monitor performance by way of regular monthly management meetings. We spend a lot of time working on business development aspects including new product lines and gaining access to new markets. I also advise on succession planning issues as they arise as well as tax planning for the business and its owners.

My Involvement

I also deliver general financial and operational management services to the business, freeing up its founder to develop new products and markets.
